Former Nashville Predators defenceman Mark Borowiecki is set to join the organization's front office amid a flurry of moves ahead of the 2023 NHL Draft, Sportsnet's Jeff Marek reported on Wednesday.
The 33-year-old played 458 games across his 12-year career, including the previous three seasons with the Predators.
His career came to an abrupt end in October 2022, after an awkward hit from the Philadelphia Flyers' Morgan Frost sent him careening into the boards at Bridgestone Arena. He was taken from the ice on a stretcher.
In addition to adding Borowiecki, the Predators also announced that they would only give qualifying offers to defenceman Alexandre Carrier and forward Cody Glass, sending the rest of their pending RFAs to the free market on July 1.
