After matching a career high in points, Mikael Granlund is cashing in with a new contract.
Granlund signed a three-year contract with the Anaheim Ducks, the team announced on Tuesday.
The deal is worth $21 million, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.
The 33-year-old was dealt to the Dallas Stars from the San Jose Sharks at the 2025 trade deadline and went on to score seven goals and 21 points in 31 games with his new squad, before adding five goals and five assists in 18 playoff games.
Granlund was selected ninth overall by the Minnesota Wild at the 2010 NHL Draft and spent seven seasons with the team. He was traded to the Predators during the 2018-19 season and remained in Nashville for four more seasons, before he was eventually traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
In 902 games over his 13-year NHL career, he’s scored 179 goals and 610 points.
