Namestnikov returns to Lightning on one-year, $2.5M deal

Forward Vladislav Namestnikov is returning to the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The reigning Eastern Conference champs signed Namestnikov to a one-year, $2.5 million deal on Wednesday.

Namestnikov had a combined 18 goals and 12 assists in 75 games with the Detroit Red Wings and Dallas Stars last season.

The Lightning picked the Russian in the first round (27th overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft. Namestnikov was with the Lightning organization through 2018.

Namestnikov has 107 goals and 129 assists in 553 career NHL games with the Lightning, Red Wings, Stars, Ottawa Senators and New York Rangers.
