The Nashville Predators have pinned down the No. 5 overall pick from the 2025 NHL Draft.
18-year-old centre Brady Martin has signed a three-year, entry-level contract, the Predators announced Wednesday.
The Elmira, Ont., native played the last two seasons with the Soo Greyhounds in the Ontario Hockey League. He served as their alternative captain in the 2024-25 season, where he reached a career-high 72 points (33 goals, 39 assists) in 57 games.
The physical forward also recorded 68 penalty minutes while maintaining a plus-25 rating.
Nationally, Martin has two gold medals under his belt. He assisted his team to victory in the 2024 Hlinka Gretzy Cup and in 2025 as alternate captain for the IIHF U18 world championships.
Nashville selected Martin fifth overall in June, marking the highest selection for the Predators since Seth Jones (fourth overall) in 2013.
