The Nashville Predators signed goaltender Iaroslav Askarov o a three-year, entry-level contract on Monday, club president of hockey operations/GM David Poile announced.
Askarov, 19, primarily played this season with SKA-Neva of the VHL, the second-highest professional league in Russia, and six games in the KHL with SKA-St. Petersburg. He was drafted by the Predators in the first round (11th overall) of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.
