NHL announces no positive COVID-19 tests for eighth-straight week

The NHL remains free of any positive COVID-19 tests as the post-season pushes towards its conclusion.

The league announced Monday that it has received zero positive tests for the eighth week inside of the secure zone. Per the league's release, 1,127 tests were administered to those inside the Edmonton bubble.

All members of the participating clubs’ 52-member travelling parties were tested daily between Sept. 13-19.

The Stanley Cup Final between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Dallas Stars continues Monday night with Game 2 at 8 p.m. ET on Sportsnet and SN NOW.
