Connor Ingram is closing the book on his professional hockey career.
The goaltender took to Instagram on Friday night to announce his retirement.
"Don’t be sad it’s over, be happy it happened. Thanks hockey, I owe ya," wrote Ingram in a post.
Per Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, Ingram's "goal is to go back to school for psychology; use what he learns to help others."
Ingram, from Saskatoon, Sask., appeared in 134 NHL career games for Nashville, Arizona, Utah, and Edmonton, posting a 55-54-18 record, along with a 3.01 goals-against average and .901 save percentage.
He was drafted 88th overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2016 NHL Draft.
The 29-year-old spent the 2025-26 season with the Oilers and their AHL affiliate, the Bakersfield Condors, after being traded from the Mammoth last October.
In 32 regular-season games for the Oilers, Ingram recorded a 2.60 goals-against average and an .899 save percentage. He also appeared in five playoff games.
Coming off a three-year, $5.85 million contract, Ingram became an unrestricted free agent during the off-season.
