There were plenty of hats donated in the month of January.
Alex Tuch's three goals on Thursday in a 4-1 win for the Buffalo Sabres set a new NHL record for the most total hat tricks in a single calendar month.
Tuch's was the 30th in January, breaking the record of 29 that was set in December of 1985.
New York Rangers forward Mika Zibanejad was the only player who made the hats fly twice in January.
