Roster shuffling continues in the NHL.
The league's teams combined to put 61 players on the waiver wire on Friday, four days ahead of Opening Night.
Notable names on the wire include San Jose Sharks goalie Eric Comrie, Carolina Hurricanes centre Skyler Brind'Amour — son of Hurricanes coach Rod Brind'Amour — and defenceman Pierre-Olivier Joseph, Utah Mammoth winger Brandon Tanev, St. Louis Blues centre Oskar Sundqvist and winger Nathan Walker.
The lone player claimed off waivers on Friday was Ottawa Senators goalie Leevi Meriläinen, who went to the Vancouver Canucks.
Teams will have 24 hours to evaluate this list before the next batch of players is added Saturday at 2 p.m. ET / 11 a.m. PT.
