When the Montreal Canadiens and Winnipeg Jets take the ice at Princess Auto Stadium, they'll be sporting some new — or old — threads.
On Wednesday, the NHL and Fanatics unveiled the Canadiens' and Jets' uniforms for the 2026 Heritage Classic, set for Oct. 25 at the usual home of the CFL's Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

The Jets will pay homage to the franchise's classic look from the 1980s and '90s, bringing back the club's sweater and logo worn during its first stint in the NHL.
Meanwhile, the Canadiens stay true to their red and blue colour scheme, but have altered the white to a more vintage stylized off-white. The jersey features details honouring the club's history, with "Les Habitants" stitched into the back collar and a Fleur-de-lis on the loop label.
The iconic Habs logo has also been slightly redrawn to echo the past, and has stitching sewn into the felt to give it more detail.

This will be the eighth edition of the NHL Heritage Classic, which dates back to the 2003 season when the Canadiens and Edmonton Oilers took the ice at Commonwealth Stadium in Alberta's capital.
Commonwealth Stadium was also the site of the previous Heritage Classic in 2023, when the Oilers and Flames took the ice on the Edmonton Elks' home turf.
