A depth forward is returning to Tampa Bay.
The Lightning re-signed Nick Abruzzese to a one-year, two-way contract, the team announced on Tuesday.
Abruzzese joined the Lightning organization this season but did not appear in a game with the NHL club.
In 56 contests with the AHL's Syracuse Crunch, he had 15 goals and 36 assists.
The 27-year-old from Slate Hill, N.Y., was originally selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the fourth round of the 2019 draft. He has played all 11 of his career NHL games with the Leafs, recording one goal.
