Team Finland has been forced to make another change to its 4 Nations Face-Off roster.
On Sunday, it was announced that Ottawa Senators defenceman Nikolas Matinpalo would replace an injured Rasmus Ristolainen.
The news comes one day after Ristolainen missed the Philadelphia Flyers' game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, their final before the 4 Nations break.
Ristolainen, 30, has 15 points (two goals and 13 assists) in 54 games this season and is averaging 20:31 of ice time.
Matinpalo, meanwhile, has split the season between the NHL and AHL. In 24 games with the AHL's Belleville Senators, the 26-year-old has eight points (two goals and six assists), and over 18 NHL games with Ottawa, he has yet to record a point and is a minus-1.
Finland will already be missing two other defencemen from their original roster, Miro Heiskanen and Jani Hakanpää, due to injuries. Henri Jokiharju and Urho Vaakanainen were named as their replacements last Sunday.
Finland begins play in the tournament on Thursday against the United States.
