Edmonton Oilers forward Connor Brown exited Thursday's game against the Dallas Stars with an apparent lower-body injury during the second period.
Brown appeared to suffer the injury while pushing off after a faceoff.
Brown, 29, signed a one-year, $4 million contract with the Oilers prior to this season, but $3.225 million of that comes in a bonus for 10 games played.
Thursday was Brown's ninth game. He doesn't have a point this season.
Brown played just four games for the Washington Capitals last season as he suffered an ACL injury.
A former junior teammate of Oilers star Connor McDavid with the Erie Otters, Brown has 90 goals and 126 assists for 216 points in 456 career NHL games with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Capitals and Oilers.
