Connor Ingram appears healthy enough to play — if necessary.
The Edmonton Oilers goalie will serve as Tristan Jarry's backup against the Dallas Stars on Thursday (Sportsnet, Sportsnet+, 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT), head coach Kris Knoblauch told reporters.
"Ingram, he is good. He is healthy. He can play but won't be starting tonight," Knoblauch said.
Ingram left Tuesday's game against the Colorado Avalanche after sustaining a hit from forward Nathan MacKinnon, who was ejected on the play.
The goalie immediately went down and appeared to be in pain.
Referees called a five-minute major penalty for goaltender interference, which was confirmed after a lengthy review.
Ingram, 28, has a 9-6-1 record with a .892 save percentage and 2.79 goals-against average in his first season with the Oilers.
Edmonton returns to action Friday against the St. Louis Blues.
