Connor McDavid is going to play through the pain to try to extend the Edmonton Oilers season.
The Oilers captain is in the lineup for Tuesday's Game 5 against the Anaheim Ducks after being listed as a game-time decision earlier in the day. He did not take the morning skate.
McDavid was hobbled on a collision with teammate Mattias Ekholm in Game 2 and hasn't been his same explosive self ever since.
McDavid has one goal and three assists in the series.
Third-line centre Jason Dickinson is also in the lineup after being listed as a game-time decision. Dickinson has missed two games in the series with a lower-body injury.
Colton Dach, who missed Game 4 with an illness, will enter the lineup in place of Trent Frederic, who is a healthy scratch.
The Ducks lead the series 3-1 and can eliminate the Oilers with a win on Tuesday. Watch Game 5 on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+.
