The Edmonton Oilers will have their superstar duo back in action on Thursday night.
Leon Draisaitl will make his return to the lineup against the Pittsburgh Penguins after missing the past three games.
The 30-year-old forward took a leave of absence and returned to his family home in Cologne, Germany, on Friday due to what the team described as “a family illness.”
Draisaitl has 25 goals and 42 assists through 48 games this season.
The Oilers went 2-1 in his absence, but are coming off a disappointing loss to the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday.
Despite being the only team in the league without a three-game win streak this season, Edmonton enters Thursday's action second in the Pacific Division with a 25-18-8 record.
You can watch Draisaitl, Connor McDavid and the Oilers take on Sidney Crosby and the Penguins live on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+ starting at 9 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. MT.
