Despite missing the Edmonton Oilers' morning skate ahead of their tilt with the Vegas Golden Knights on Sunday, Mattias Ekholm is set to play.
Ahead of the matchup, Sportsnet's Gene Principe had reported that the defenceman was a game-time decision.
Ekholm ranks sixth on the Oilers with 33 points (six goals and 27 assists). He’s suited up for all 63 Oilers games so far this season.
Meanwhile, centre Adam Henrique, who left Edmonton’s 6-3 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday after blocking a shot, will not suit up Sunday.
The 36-year-old has tallied two goals and 10 points on the season.
Joshua Samanski, recalled from AHL Bakersfield, takes Henrique's spot in the lineup and will centre the fourth line.
Samanski, 23, has played six games for the Oilers this season, potting two assists.
Edmonton sits third in the Pacific Division with 68 points heading into Sunday's contest, just four back of Vegas and five short of division-leader Anaheim.
