Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane was out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Kings.
Sportsnet's Mark Spector reported earlier in the day that Kane was questionable because of a groin issue.
Forward Raphael Lavoie was recalled from AHL Bakersfield on an emergency basis on Saturday.
Kane has 13 goals and 10 assists in 32 games this season.
