Edmonton Oilers goaltender Jack Campbell suffered "just a broken nose" after being hit by the puck while sitting on the bench during a game Monday night against the New Jersey Devils.
Campbell told reporters Tuesday the injury was "nothing crazy" and that he feels "good." He returned to the team and practiced Tuesday morning as the team prepares to face the New York Islanders on Wednesday. It's not expected he will miss any action.
Campbell was hit in the face with a puck during the second period a 5-2 loss to the Devils and had to exit to the locker room.
A shot by Edmonton's Dylan Holloway deflected off Devils defender Dougie Hamilton and hit Campbell in his face. Campbell did not return to the bench for the rest of the game.
After Campbell left the game, the Oilers brought in emergency backup goalie George Blinik, 27, who previously played NCAA Div III.
