The Edmonton Oilers could be down a key forward as they look to return to the win column.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is questionable to suit up against the Nashville Predators on Sunday (Sportsnet, Sportsnet+, 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT) after his wife gave birth, head coach Kris Knoblauch told reporters.
Nugent-Hopkins, 32, previously missed Friday's 3-2 overtime loss to the St. Louis Blues. Forward Max Jones skated in his place.
In 57 games on the season, the longtime Oiler has 17 goals and 33 assists.
Meanwhile, Connor Ingram will get the nod in net as he has taken control of the Edmonton crease, Knoblauch said.
Ingram has a 9-6-2 record with an .891 save percentage and 2.79 goals-against average in 20 games in his first year with the Oilers.
After facing Nashville, Edmonton returns to action Tuesday at home against the San Jose Sharks.
