The Edmonton Oilers will receive a reinforcement on Monday.
Speedy winger Kasperi Kapanen is set to return from injury against the Anaheim Ducks, Oilers TV host Tony Brar reported on Monday.
Meanwhile, forward Josh Samanski will make his NHL debut while Andrew Mangiapane and Alec Regula come out of the lineup.
Kapanen was injured on Jan. 18 against the St. Louis Blues after crashing into the boards in what was just his eighth game back following a previous lengthy injury layoff.
The 29-year-old has been effective in his limited action this season, scoring three goals and nine points in 14 games.
Samanski, 23, has seven goals and 21 assists in 39 games at the AHL level this season. The undrafted free agent spent the previous five seasons skating professionally in Germany.
Mangiapane has struggled since joining the Oilers as a free agent in the off-season, registering just six goals and six assists in 47 games. Regula has three assists in 29 games.
Goaltender Tristan Jarry will get the nod in net for Edmonton.
The Oilers are coming off a wild 6-5 overtime win against the Washington Capitals on Saturday as they look to stop the Ducks' seven-game winning streak.
