Edmonton Oilers forward Zack Kassian has been fined $5,000 for cross-checking Los Angeles Kings defenceman Sean Durzi, the Department of Player Safety announced.

The incident occurred with one minute left in the second period, when Kassian cross-checked Durzi, following a scrum between Durzi and Oilers forward Evander Kane. He was assessed a two-minute minor penalty on the play.

Kassian has one goal, one assist, and two penalty minutes in five games-played this post-season.

The Oilers currently trial 3-2 in the best-of-seven series.
