Edmonton Oilers defenceman Oscar Klefbom had successful shoulder surgery Thursday and remains on track to return to the lineup next season.
Sportsnet’s Mark Spector reports the procedure was performed by Dr. Anthony Miniaci at the Cleveland Clinic.
Klefbom was ruled out of the 2020-21 season in December with a shoulder injury after he also missed time late in the 2019-20 season with a shoulder issue.
The 27-year-old was on pace for a career-high in points last season before his injury and the pandemic hit, but he finished the campaign with five goals and 34 points in 62 games.
