Atro Leppanen is sticking with the Edmonton Oilers organization for another season.
The Oilers signed the defenceman to a one-year, two-way contract extension on Monday, the team announced.
The deal will run through the 2026-27 campaign.
Leppanen, 27, has three goals and 17 assists in 28 games with the AHL's Bakersfield Condors this season.
Before signing with the Oilers, Leppanen played for Vaasan Sport in Liiga
— the top league in his home country of Finland. In his last season with Vaasan Sport, he had 63 points to set a league record for points by a defenceman.
