The Edmonton Oilers have signed forward Devin Shore to a two-year contract extension with an annual cap hit of $850,000, the team announced Wednesday.

Shore joined the Oilers on a professional try-out prior to training camp before signing a one-year, two-way contract for the season.

The Ajax, Ont., native appeared in 38 regular season games, recording nine points. The 26-year-old also played in a pair of playoff games in the Oilers' first-round series against the Winnipeg Jets, notching an assist.

Shore was drafted by the Dallas Stars in the second round of the 2012 NHL Draft and spent time with the Anaheim Ducks and Columbus Blue Jackets before joining the Oilers. In 326 career games, he has 115 career points with 55 penalty minutes.
