The Edmonton Oilers have signed forward Ryan McLeod to a one-year extension worth $798,000, the team announced Thursday.

McLeod, a second-round pick in 2019, produced nine goals and 12 assists over 71 games in his first full season with the Oilers last year.

The 23-year-old then played 16 games in Edmonton's run to the Western Conference Final, registering three goals and one assist.

The six-foot-two centre will now join Oilers training camp.
