The Edmonton Oilers seem to be short-handed in the crease.
Goaltender Tristan Jarry will start on Saturday against the Toronto Maple Leafs (7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+), with Devon Levi injured, head coach Mike Babcock told reporters on Friday.
Levi, who has taken over the starting job, won't dress on Saturday after missing practice on Friday.
Levi made 27 saves in Edmonton's 6-5 shootout win over the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday.
The Oilers will call up a goalie to replace him as backup, Babcock said.
Levi has gone 6-1-0 in seven starts this season, with a 3.11 GAA and an .887 save percentage.
Jarry has made just three starts since getting the opening night nod; he has a 2.97 GAA and an .873 save percentage with a 2-0-1 record.
