Oilers trade for veteran centre Derick Brassard from Flyers

The Edmonton Oilers added some centre depth by acquiring Derick Brassard from the Philadelphia Flyers, Sportsnet's Mark Spector reports.

The Oilers are trading a fourth-round pick in 2023 back to the Flyers in the deal.

Brassard, 34, has appeared in 936 games with the Blue Jackets, Rangers, Senators, Penguins, Panthers, Avalanche, Islanders, Coyotes and Flyers. This season with Philadelphia he has six goals and 16 points in 31 games.
