Viktor Arvidsson is switching conferences.
The Edmonton Oilers have traded the winger to the Boston Bruins in exchange for a fifth-round pick in 2027, the team announced Tuesday.
Arvidsson, 32, recorded 27 points (15 goals and 12 assists) during the 2024-25 regular season, then added seven points (two goals and five assists) in 15 playoff games as Edmonton advanced to the Stanley Cup Final for the second straight year.
The Swede joined the Oilers as a free agent, signing a two-year, $8-million contract on July 1, 2024.
Across 613 career NHL games with the Oilers, Los Angeles Kings and Nashville Predators — who drafted him 112th overall in 2014 — Arvidsson has tallied 389 points (194 goals and 195 assists). He’s also added 44 points (15 goals and 29 assists) in 87 career post-season appearances.
