Swedish defenceman Erik Brännström has signed a one-year deal with the Ottawa Senators, the club announced on Saturday.
The deal is worth $2 million. Last season, Brännström was on a one-year deal worth $900,000.
The 23-year-old from Eksjö, Sweden had two goals and 16 assists in 74 games this past season, while averaging 16:07 minutes of ice time per game.
