Could the Florida Panthers be moving on from some fourth-line grit?
Forward A.J. Greer sat out Thursday night's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets for roster management, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.
Greer, who is set to hit unrestricted free agency this off-season, has 11 goals, 11 assists and 92 penalty minutes in 61 games for Florida this season.
The 29-year-old forward is currently in his ninth NHL campaign with his fifth team.
In 309 career games with Colorado, New Jersey, Boston, Calgary and Florida, Greer has 30 goals, 41 assists and 427 penalty minutes.
Greer made the post-season with the Panthers for the first time in his career in 2024-25 and averaged 7:38 of ice time in 16 playoff games on the way to a Stanley Cup win.
