Florida Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov (upper body) and fellow forward Evan Rodrigues (lower body) were ruled out after the first period on Thursday against the Vegas Golden Knights because of injuries, the team reported.
Barkov was hurt when he caught an elbow to the face from Alec Martinez while battling for the puck.
Rodrigues was hurt when he blocked a shot.
Barkov is second on the team in scoring with 11 goals and 28 assists for 39 points in 35 games this season.
Rodrigues is fifth on the team in scoring with seven goals and 17 assists for 24 points in 38 games.
