Aleksander Barkov from the host Florida Panthers will take Auston Matthews’ place on the Atlantic Division roster for the 2023 NHL All-Star Game.
Barkov joins Panthers teammate Matthew Tkachuk in the All-Star Game which takes place at FLA Live Arena on Feb. 3 for the skills competition and Feb. 4 for the game. In 40 games this season, Barkov has 13 goals and 43 points.
Matthews was selected in the fan vote to join teammate Mitch Marner in the game. Matthews, who won the Hart Trophy last season after leading the NHL with 60 goals, has 53 points in 47 games this season.
