The Florida Panthers just can't seem to shake the injury bug.
Forward Brad Marchand missed the third period with an apparent injury in Thursday's loss to the St. Louis Blues after playing 11:19.
It's unclear what caused Marchand to leave the game.
Panthers head coach Paul Maurice had no update on Marchand's status after the game, per Florida Hockey Now's George Richards, adding that the 37-year-old will be looked at "tonight and tomorrow."
Marchand was playing in his fourth contest since returning from a seven-game absence. He missed time after exiting against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Jan. 6 after taking a hit from Bobby McMann.
The veteran winger has now played in 45 games for Florida this season, collecting 25 goals and 50 points.
His status going forward will be of interest not only to the Panthers, who are trying to climb back into playoff contention, but also to Team Canada for the upcoming Olympics.
Marchand was named to the Canadian Olympic roster on New Year's Eve after playing an important role in the country's victory at last year's 4 Nations Face-Off.
