Panthers' Duclair undergoes Achilles surgery, expected to return mid-season

Florida Panthers forward Anthony Duclair underwent surgery to repair an Achilles tendon injury and is expected to return to action mid-season, the club announced Saturday.

Duclair, who will turn 27 in August, is coming off the most productive season of his career. In 74 games, he set career highs in goals (31), assists (27) and points (54) to help the Panthers win the Presidents' Trophy.

The Laval, Que., native has two years remaining on his contract with a $3 million annual cap hit.
