Florida Panthers head coach Paul Maurice said Sam Bennett could be an option to play in Game 3 against the Boston Bruins.
Maurice added that a decision will be made after Bennett takes part in the team's morning skate in Boston.
Bennett has been absent since Game 2 of the Panthers' first-round series against the Tampa Bay Lightning after taking a shot from teammate Brandon Montour off his left hand.
He suffered an upper-body injury and was originally supposed to be out for at least a week.
Bennett had a goal and an assist in the series against Tampa Bay after scoring 20 goals and 41 points in 69 regular-season games.
Game 3 is set for Friday with the second-round seried tied 1-1.
