Florida Panthers forward Ryan Lomberg has been given the maximum fine allowed under the CBA — $2,083.33 — for elbowing Ottawa Senators defenceman Jakob Chychrun in their game on Tuesday, the NHL's Department of Player Safety announced Wednesday.
Lomberg was not penalized for the play early in the third period of a 3-2 Panthers win in overtime.
Lomberg has four goals, two assists and 52 penalty minutes this season.
