The Florida Panthers will be without a couple of veterans on Tuesday.
Goaltender Jacob Markstrom and defenceman Radko Gudas are day-to-day and won't play against the Columbus Blue Jackets, head coach Paul Maurice told reporters Tuesday.
Markstrom was pulled after the first period of Monday's 5-3 loss to the Buffalo Sabres.
He was replaced by Akira Schmid, who will start against the Blue Jackets.
Maurice said after the game that Markstrom was experiencing some tightness, but didn't believe it was anything serious.
Markstrom, 36, has enjoyed a solid start in his first season with the Panthers, posting a 2.03 goals-against average and .904 save percentage over five starts.
Gudas, 36, played 12:27 against the Sabres. He appeared to get banged up in a collision with Beck Malenstyn, but returned to finish the game.
The veteran blue liner is still looking for his first point this season.
Uvis Balinskis will draw into the lineup against the Blue Jackets in place of Gudas.
The Panthers are off to a 2-2-2 start this season.
