The Florida Panthers re-signed forward Mackie Samoskevich to a one-year contract Thursday.
Samoskevich, who was a restricted free agent, recorded 31 points (15 goals and 16 assists) in 72 games during his first full season in the NHL in 2024-25.
He also contributed one assist in four playoff games as the Panthers captured the Stanley Cup for a second consecutive year.
“Mackie is a talented young forward who demonstrated skill and maturity well above his age in his first full NHL season,” Panthers president and general manager Bill Zito said in a release. “He showcased his ability to slot into any hole in our lineup and find success this past season, which is a testament to both his play and character.
"We look forward to seeing him compete in our organization for years to come.”
Samoskevich was drafted in the first round, 24th overall, by Florida in 2021.
The 22-year-old from Newtown, Conn., attended the University of Michigan for two seasons before joining the Panthers.
He made his NHL debut with Florida during the 2023-24 season, recording zero points in seven games.
