The Florida Panthers have signed forward Hunter St. Martin to a three-year, entry-level contract, the team announced Friday.
St. Martin was drafted in the sixth round, 193rd overall, by the Panthers in June.
“Hunter is a skilled skater who has shown a tremendous amount of maturity and adaptability at a young age,” Panthers president and GM Barry Zito said in a release. “We are excited for him to take the next step in his career with our organization.”
The 19-year-old from Edmonton had 24 goals and 28 assists for 52 points in 68 games with the Medicine Hat Tigers of the Western Hockey League last season.
He has seven goals and an assist in eight games so far this year.
