“Vinnie is a competitive forward who plays a strong two-way game,” Florida GM Bill Zito said in a team statement. “He is a versatile playmaker who brings a mix of skill, speed and energy to our team.”
The 26-year-old Hinostroza skated in 68 games for the Arizona Coyotes last season, recording five goals and 22 points. He added two assists in seven post-season games.
Since the 2015-16 season, Hinostroza has suited up in 246 NHL regular-season contests with the Coyotes and Chicago Blackhawks, who drafted the Chicago native in the sixth round of the 2012 draft.
Hinostroza career-best campaign was in 2018-19 when he notched 16 goals and 39 points in 72 games in Arizona.
