Jack Studnicka is available for the taking.
The Florida Panthers waived the centre off their NHL roster on Monday, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported.
Studnicka, 26, played in 18 games for the Panthers this season.
Over 125 career contests, the 26-year-old journeyman has six goals and 10 assists. He has also played for the Vancouver Canucks, Boston Bruins and San Jose Sharks.
The Panthers are set to welcome star forward Matthew Tkachuk back into the lineup on Monday for the first time this season.
Meanwhile, Sharks defenceman Nick Leddy cleared waivers, per Friedman.
The 34-year-old has played 19 games for the Sharks this season, his first in San Jose, recording no goals and four assists.
