The Pittsburgh Penguins will be without Bryan Rust when the team faces the New York Rangers on Wednesday night.
According to head coach Mike Sullivan, the top-line winger is day-to-day as he deals with a lower-body injury.
The update comes one day after the team said Rust was being "evaluated" for a lower-body injury. The 31-year-old was absent from the Penguins' morning skate Wednesday at PPG Paints Arena.
Rust is off to a strong start this season, recording 16 points (nine goals and seven assists) over 17 games.
