Sidney Crosby continues to climb the all-time NHL leaderboards.
The Pittsburgh Penguins captain recorded his 1,110th career assist against the Colorado Avalanche on Friday, moving past Joe Thornton for sole possession of seventh place on the NHL's all-time assists list.
Crosby now sits 25 assists behind Paul Coffey, who occupies sixth place with 1,135. Wayne Gretzky remains the league's all-time leader with 1,963.
It's the latest in a long list of accomplishments for the 39-year-old, who is in his 22nd season with the Penguins and has already established himself as the franchise's all-time points leader.
