After having his 2024-25 campaign cut short, Boko Imama is returning to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Penguins announced Friday that they have re-signed Imama to a one-year contract, which carries an average annual value of $775,000.
Imama underwent successful surgery to repair a bicep injury in late March. Pittsburgh initially listed the expected recovery time as four to six months.
The 28-year-old was in the midst of his fourth NHL season, in which he had one goal and 30 penalty minutes over 16 games. The Montreal native had also gotten into 24 games at the AHL level, tallying five points.
Originally a sixth-round pick of the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2015, Imama spent NHL time with the Arizona Coyotes and Ottawa Senators before landing in Pittsburgh.
