The Pittsburgh Penguins and forward Jonathan Gruden have reunited on a two-year deal worth $775,000 annually at the NHL level.
Pittsburgh announced the deal with the 24-year-old forward Tuesday afternoon. Gruden made his NHL debut with the Penguins in the 2022-23 season and skated in 13 games with the team in 2023-24, recording his first career NHL goal on March 2.
He spent the majority of his time in the AHL with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, recording 13 goals and 24 points in 47 games.
Gruden was originally a fourth-round pick of the Ottawa Senators in the 2018 draft and was traded to Pittsburgh alongside a second-round pick for Matt Murray in 2020.
