A key forward will return for the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday.
Rickard Rakell will draw back in against the San Jose Sharks after missing over a month with a fractured hand, head coach Dan Muse said.
Live coverage of Penguins-Sharks will be available on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+ with puck drop set for 3 p.m. ET / noon PT.
The 32-year-old Rakell underwent surgery on his left hand after breaking it while blocking a shot in an Oct. 25 game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Through nine games prior to injury, he had three goals and five assists while averaging nearly 18 minutes a night.
Rakell enjoyed a career-best season last year, posting highs in goals (35) and points (70), while tying his previous best in assists (35).
Meanwhile, the Penguins won't have either Stuart Skinner or Brett Kulak in the lineup after they were acquired from the Edmonton Oilers in a trade that sent Tristan Jarry the other way on Friday. Skinner and Kulak are both going through immigration.
Instead, Arturs Silovs will get the nod in net.
