The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed on the dotted line with a top prospect.
Ben Kindel, who was picked 11th overall in June's NHL Draft, agreed to a three-year entry-level deal, the team announced on Tuesday.
Kindel, 18, is eligible only to play for the Penguins or be returned to the WHL's Calgary Hitmen next season.
In 65 games with the Hitmen in 2024-25, the forward tallied 35 goals, 64 assists and 99 points.
Kindel, of Coquitlam, B.C., also won a pair of gold medals with Canada last season at the U-18 world championship and Hlinka Gretzky Cup.
