Egor Zamula's Pittsburgh tenure may be a short one.
The Penguins waived Zamula for the purpose of contract termination on Monday, just five days after acquiring him in a trade with the Philadelphia Flyers.
Zamula, 25, played 13 games for the Flyers this season, registering one assist. In three games for the AHL's Lehigh Valley Phantoms, the forward has two assists.
He was suspended by the Penguins after failing to report to their AHL team in the wake of the trade that sent fellow forward Phil Tomasino the other way.
If he goes unclaimed on waivers, Zamula will become an unrestricted free agent on Tuesday.
