Phil Kemp is switching NHL homes.
The defenceman has signed a two-year deal with the Pittsburgh Penguins with an average annual value of $775,000 at the NHL level, the team announced Wednesday.
Kemp, 26, was a seventh-round pick by the Edmonton Oilers in 2017. He has spent the past five seasons with the AHL’s Bakersfield Condors, appearing in one game for Edmonton during that time.
